This mentoring activity, which is a community service activity regarding fertilizing Brazilian spinach, aims to provide maximum (optimal) harvest results using eco enzyme techniques that are appropriate to the dosage in the soil and plants with the concept of mathematical models. Eco Enzyme (EE) is a fermentation in the form of a multi-purpose liquid that comes from kitchen waste or organic waste such as fruit peels, vegetables and other food waste. EE can be used as an environmentally friendly fertilizer because this liquid can function as soil and plant fertilizer, eliminate pests, and can improve the quality of vegetables or fruit. Therefore, the selection of EE as fertilizer for Brazilian spinach plants with a balance of ingredients is in accordance with the mathematical model carried out in community service
Fitri Maya Puspita, Sisca Octarina, Evi Yuliza, Laila Hanum, Robeah Aryani, Eggyana Deri Hernanda Copyright (c) 2024 https://gemangabdi.unram.ac.id/index.php/gemangabdi/article/view/417 Sat, 30 Mar 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Peningkatan Kapasitas Kelompoktani Melalui Inovasi Teknologi Pembuatan Pupuk Organik Di Kecamatan Janapria Kabupaten Lombok Tengah https://gemangabdi.unram.ac.id/index.php/gemangabdi/article/view/418
During 2013-2019, rice production and cattle population in West Nusa Tenggara Province increased, however, rice productivity tended to decrease. One of the reasons for this decline in rice productivity is the excessive and continuous use of chemical fertilizers, which causes the soil structure to harden. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the use of non-chemical fertilizers or organic fertilizers whose raw materials come from cow dung which is often found in the field. Apart from that, animal feed, especially cows, is actually available around the community, namely in the form of forage from plants. However, management of forage for livestock has not been carried out by many farmers. Based on these problems, this community service activity aims to increase the capacity of farmer-livestock groups to be able to apply technology for making organic fertilizer and feed management. This community service activity was carried out in Saba Village, Janapria District, Central Lombok Regency, where there is quite a lot of agricultural waste potential available. Implementation of activities includes: outreach, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), training, and practice in making organic fertilizer and managing animal feed. The target of the activity was 30 members of the farmer-livestock group in Janapria District. The output of the activity is increasing farmers' knowledge, skills and attitudes in organic fertilizer production technology; as well as the production of solid organic fertilizer (compost), liquid organic fertilizer and animal feed from agricultural waste. Output in the academic aspect is in the form of writing in journals or seminar proceedings. The evaluation results using statistical methods with paired sample t tests in this activity showed that there was a significant increase in farmer-breeder behavior after participating in training activities in making organic fertilizer and making feed. Some farmer-breeders have implemented the results of the training and feel that there are savings in farming costs by using organic fertilizer that they make themselves
Dwi Praptomo Sudjatmiko, Muhamad Siddik, Anwar Anwar, Bambang Dipokusumo, Fadli Fadli Copyright (c) 2024 https://gemangabdi.unram.ac.id/index.php/gemangabdi/article/view/418 Mon, 27 May 2024 00:00:00 +0100 Revitalisasi Sistem Penyaringan Air Bersih Di Desa Gegerung Kecamatan Lingsar Kabupaten Lombok Barat https://gemangabdi.unram.ac.id/index.php/gemangabdi/article/view/419
Water is the main need for humans to fulfill life's needs. For humans, clean water is absolutely necessary for various needs, namely for bathing, washing, cooking and so on. There are several water sources that humans can use, including springs, river water and ground water. Water sourced from springs and groundwater is relatively better quality, while water sourced from rivers requires prior management. Gegerung Village is one of the villages in Lingsar District, West Lombok Regency. Some of the people of Gegerung Village depend on their water needs from the Meninting River which passes through their area. The existing water supply system is by tapping directly from the river. Before being distributed, the water first passes through a filtering system so that the water becomes clearer. However, the current condition of the water filtration system cannot function properly so that the distributed water remains dirty. To get clean water again, it is necessary to revitalize the water filtration system. Revitalization is an effort to restore the function of the water filtration system by cleaning and replacing the filter media material. The results of the tests carried out show that there is an improvement in water quality after replacing the filtering media
Muh Bagus Budianto, Anid Supriadi, Hartana Hartana, Jauhar Fajrin, Humairo Saidah Copyright (c) 2024 https://gemangabdi.unram.ac.id/index.php/gemangabdi/article/view/419 Mon, 27 May 2024 00:00:00 +0100 Program Edukasi Energi Terbarukan Sebagai Alternatif Teknologi Ramah Lingkungan di MTS Negeri 1 Mataram https://gemangabdi.unram.ac.id/index.php/gemangabdi/article/view/392
Global warming and the environmental impacts of fossil fuels are very important to understand, especially for the younger generation, including students. Karang Bayan Village is a region division of Segerongan Village, these areas are often affected by major earthquakes, the last one took place not too long ago, in 2018. Due to its area located on the mountain slope of Rinjani, Karang Bayan has captivating scenery with a rather mild temperature, making it a perfect tourist destination. Karang Bayan offers various tourist attractions, starting from tours of traditional houses, durian orchards, horse riding, rafting, waterfalls, and many more to explore around the village. To boost tourism, Karang Bayan needs to establish proper accommodations along with other tourist facilities like restaurants. Ferrocement-coated buildings are suitable options considering their strength to withstand an earthquake. Mesh wire application on a ferrocement is more economical and practical compared to applying reinforced columns, reinforced beams, or beam-column joints reinforcement detailing. Both planning and construction are integral parts of founding strong buildings, miscalculations will pose threats to the inhabitants of the building. Karang Bayan community has limited knowledge of mesh-wired ferrocement walls for earthquake-resistant buildings, this community service is carried out in the hope people of Karang Bayan will be capable of constructing earthquake-resistant buildings with mesh-wired ferrocement walls. Positive feedback is shown by enthusiastic discussion between the Karang Bayan community with the community service team.
Fathmah Mahmud, Hariyadi Hariyadi, I Nyoman Merdana, Ngudiyono Ngudiyono, Ni Nyoman Kencanawati Copyright (c) 2024 https://gemangabdi.unram.ac.id/index.php/gemangabdi/article/view/389 Sat, 30 Mar 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Pemanfaatan Limbah Kotoran Sapi Menjadi Pupuk Organik Kompos Dengan Metode Fermentasi EM4 di Desa Batu Kumbung https://gemangabdi.unram.ac.id/index.php/gemangabdi/article/view/397
Batu Kumbung Village is a village located in Lingsar District, West Lombok Regency which is famous for its extensive agricultural land and the village with the largest number of cattle. The large number of livestock causes serious environmental problems caused by livestock waste that is not managed properly. This service is carried out with the aim of providing information, solutions and practices for managing livestock waste into more useful products such as compost. The making of compost was carried out in June and took place in one of the residents' houses which had a cow shed, and the target of this service was all residents of Batu Kumbung Village who had cattle. Compost is made using the fermentation method using EM4. The materials used are cow dung, straw and apu-apu weed. EM4 (Effective Microorganisms) is a mixture of beneficial microorganisms and can speed up the fermentation process. The addition of straw and apu-apu weed aims to balance the C/N ratio levels in compost fertilizer. Cow dung contains the nutrients 0.33% nitrogen, 0.11% phosphorus, 0.13% potassium and 0.26% calcium which makes cow dung suitable for use as compost. Information regarding the content of cow manure was conveyed to the residents of Batu Kumbung Village by the service team. The process of making compost fertilizer is also practiced directly by the community service team in Batu Kumbung Village. The practice of making compost fertilizer is done by mixing dried cow dung, straw and apu-apu weed, then stirring it and placing it in a pile, after which it is sprayed using EM4 solution. This service can provide information about the content of cow dung as well as solutions for managing cow dung waste into useful products.
Ni Wayan Sri Suliartini, Jumratul Ismayanti, Khairina Khairina, Muh.
